Poetry Month 2010 # 24

I wrote this poem during an activity in my master’s program. Direction below.

Triangulation (Jubilation)

Thunder sings under earth
Rainbow plays over lake
I find myself in the middle

We were presented with a “word bowl” and asked to randomly pull several words, then generate a poem using any or all of the words and including as many more as we liked. The words I pulled for this poem were triangle, thunder, under, earth, sing, rainbow, play, lake, find. I am pleased with the result! I chose to use the word “triangulation” because it relates to finding a third point based on knowing two others, and added Jubilation to the title to reflect how the poem itself made me feel.
