…the temperature outside is already close to 75 F, the house is as cool as it is going to be and starting to inch up (70 being the low inside today), and you have NO blinds/drapes/shutters for the windows that get the most sun?

It stayed a little darker and cooler inside throughout the day, thanks to external sunlight deflectors…
But, on the outside it was clearly an act of desperation as the blue painters tape held up sheets of blank newsprint that had been used as packing material.
Still, at the height of the day, the temperature outside was in the mid-90s, while it topped out inside at 77. Not bad.
And yes, I am in the market for more grown-up shades and draperies!
