Blogger Journey Woman suggested a contest to see who can come up with the three silliest words in the English language, to share on March 31. Which she conveniently proclaimed, “Silly Words Day.” Check our her website for the results, in all twelve people participated!
My contributions to her list were:
* plump
* polymer (and polymerization)
* harrumph
* opacity
* gerontology
And in my usual method of not completely following the rules, I also decided to put these new or nonsense words on my page.
* mazagine, said by our younger son when he was a toddler
* bsketti, coined by my brother (means spaghetti)
* apropro, minted by our elder son (appropriate)
* IM-ing, used by millions of web-addicted folk daily
* addicated, invented by me referring to babble addiction
