Well, the weekend was slow. I had injured my hip on Friday, so was just recuperating from that when I managed to get a migraine on Sunday. So, pretty slow!
Not much to report other than that it was nice enough and I was well enough Saturday to attend a local college’s annual community “bash”– what fun. So many interesting things to see, saw a few friends I hadn’t seen in years. Spent all our money on food items… lunch “out” is always a treat.
Now a new week, and the elderberry trees are loaded with berries. Another day or two and they will have appeared to grow working wings as the little finches and towhees descend to feast.
The last lettuce for the Spring is ready to harvest. The asparagus are already forming flowers — not sure if there’s still time to pick a few spears. And of course, the strawberries and raspberries are beginning to ripen.
One last week, and then the final two days of school… and the children will be home for the summer. It will be so nice to have them around!
