Meant to write and post this a couple of weeks ago. Oh well…
Life gets busy, and when the choice is to document it, or live it?
I prefer to make the memories, to live the moment. Documenting every minute of a life doesn’t seem to me much like living.
Almost exactly 32 years ago today our eldest came home from the hospital, so I guess this is close enough.
I look back on photos of all of us in those days and think how far we have come: from a LARGE newborn (more than 9 pounds), to a full-grown adult. From an infant who defied the odds and not only smiled and recognized us but learned to crawl, sit, walk, and navigate his way through the world. From a child with cerebral palsy to a musician (both trumpet and piano), a computer whiz, a data scientist, a political economist… a world traveler, a family genealogist, and more. He was such an enthusiastic and loving big brother!

He is an amazing person, and we are so proud to be his parents.
What will the next 32 years bring?
