  • Step One, Foundation. Step Two…

I have a wall. Just one wall, about 30 feet long, but it’s a wall. Two openings for windows: Tom’s office and Grant’s bedroom.

    It’s not much (yet).

    It’s a start.

Tom's office on the left, Grant's room on the right.

The above picture was contributed by my mother, the rest are from today, when I was finally able to make it out there in person during daylight hours.

A panorama. The front door is just to the right of the wall in this picture.

Sitting by the "window" that will be in my office. The crutches almost are as long as the window will be, and pretty much in the right location. I don't have the same quality of view, but there are so many possibilities for future improvements on that side of the house!

Tom in front of his windows. One of the best views in the house, he will see the lovely ornamental maple, the lilacs, the peach and the flowers in the entry garden. I think he'll like it a lot.

Building, creating, dreaming… I so want a home again. An anchor, a refuge, a haven, a retreat, a place of quiet reflection and joyful gathering. It is happening!
