Politics, I dislike
the incessant and inane chatter
of candidates long on wind but
short on ideas
Long ago, campaigns took less time
so it was important to have a clear idea
of who the candidates were and what they proposed
Now constant news coverage and social sharing
the politicians fill more time
with less substance
the decision becomes
whether to watch re-runs or read
