  • Poem a Day #3 April 2011

    Green
    mountainous
    rocky coasts floating
    amid towering waves
fingers of water grasping at shorelines
    land of my ancestors
    revered and honored
    the tree of life
    plundered by invaders
    who came
    and left
    or stayed and became
    one with the land
    legendary
    and strong
    like your daughters
    like your sons
    the survivors
    who
    never
    give
    up
